Micro-Funding

Our Micro-Funding program supports various projects that foster an age-friendly community and promote positive perceptions of aging.

By collaborating with recipients to amplify their impact, we help to build intergenerational connections, cultivate positive views of aging, and work toward making Duluth a more inclusive and age-friendly place for everyone to call home.

Examples of projects we support:

Intergenerational Connections — builds mutual understanding between the College of St. Scholastica and older residents of the Benedictine Living Community.

Accessibility Enhancement — promotes accessibility through upgrades, signage, and training to the Duluth Folk School.

Literary Engagement — cultivates positive views of aging in children through the And So We Grow…Sowing Seeds to End Ageism Reader’s Guide.

Big Red Bookshelf — expand access to age-friendly children's books by partnering with Lincoln Park Children and Families Collaborative.
